View of the Week

Today’s view of the week is in Trousdale Estates. The house has a head on view to the ocean with 12 foot floor to ceiling windows to capture it. The beautifully updated 1960s house is pretty fabulous as well, boasting, 4 bedrooms, a pool and spa… mid century design re-imagined at its best.

March 2011

The hippest neighborhood in Malibu right now is … a trailer park? Yes, say the likes of Minnie Driver, Pamela Anderson, and Matthew McConaughey. In Paradise Cove, whose pioneers included director Sam Peckinpah and Los Angeles Times publisher Otis Chandler, Vanessa Grigoriadis explores the surfboard-and-shirtless bohemian charms—not to mention those trailers, with their marble floors, Italian-granite countertops, and Sub-Zero appliances—which have sent the price of a tricked-out double-wide into the millions.

Today’s Earthquake

We were all shaken by the news of the earthquake off the Japanese coast today.  If you are wondering how to help the local Red Cross is accepting donations. We just donated – it is quick & easy.

There is also a great person finder already set up if you are trying to check on someone.

Natural disasters are always a reminder of our own local fault lines.  If you are looking for some good info on earthquake & tsunami preparedness and safety check out these sites.
