Leave the car at home day!

4 years ago, students from Santa Monica High School began the journey to encourage students to bike, walk, skateboard, take the bus, anything but drive your car to and from school to limit the school’s carbon footprint. Since then, over 3,000 students have participated in this annual effort to benefit the community. So in efforts to fight global warming as a whole, this event Bike it! Walk it! returns on October 5, 2011 and has spread to many other schools in the district. Take your part and help our community become more eco-friendly!

A Note from Tiffany: also check out CicLAvia on Sunday…ride the streets of LA with no cars!”
